This course focuses on the design, implementation and evaluation of programmes dedicated to the prevention and mitigation of sexual violence. The course is delivered in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross, Médecins sans Frontières, Handicap International, OHCHR, UNFPA and UNHCR.
Our eight week distance learning course is a unique opportunity to study this critical subject via distance learning. There will be one hour of live online teaching once a week, plus three hours of individual work per week.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the phenomenon of sexual violence in conflict and emergencies
- Identify and assess the extent and causes of sexual violence in a specific context; and
- Conceive a programme centred on victims/survivors of sexual violence.

How to register:
Prerequisites for attending this course are a university qualification (bachelor’s degree or equivalent), and at least three years of relevant professional experience.
